The Neo Fascist Trilogy - The Queen Mary (1993)
Sobre o filme
A documentary about the rock group Queen Mary, from the Parisian suburban district of Gennevilliers. The group was discovered by Dave Stewart and Annie Lennox, of the Eurythmics, who invited them to an album recording session in London. In portraying the group’ environment, their fans and music, Gitai provides some clues to explain the rise of racism in Europe. Queen Mary’ lyrics make a crystal clear expression of the feelings of low-income innercity dwellers, a sort of alienation fuelled by their habitats, an anonymous architecture of ramshackle blocks of flats so typical of the second half of the 20th century.
