The ups and downs in the friendly relations between four women in Los Angeles. Franny, an influential socialite, is married to Matt. Christine writes scripts in partnership with her husband David, but both are forever quarreling. Jane is a successful stylist married to an Englishman, Aaron, believed to be gay. Olivia is odd-man-out in the group: she is the only one unmarried and the only one who has not yet found out what she should do in life. She was a teacher, but gave up teaching and is now employed as a cleaning woman - all of which is perplexing to her friends. Franny wishes to help her out financially, so long as she will seek therapy. To complete the drama. Olivia is dating her personal trainer, Mike, who treats her as an object and, also, keeps part of her payment. Two songs "Circle in the Sand" and "Hillbilly Song" by renowned singer and composer Rickie Lee Jones, known as the Duchess of Coolville, are in the soundtrack.
