Through the Olive Trees/Under the Olive Trees (1994)
Sobre o filme
A filmmaker shoots in the inland of Iran, a region distinguished for its poverty and shaken by an earthquake. Patiently, he talks to people, interested in their problems. The actors are selected among the local citizens and the end of the shooting is delayed, because two of the selected actors aren’t able to repeat the lines of a simple scene. The young man is in love with the actress and forgets his lines on purpose to stay longer with her. During the intervals, he begs her to marry him and, while the director finishes the shooting, he seizes the chance to win her heart. Winner of the Critics’ Prize at the 18th Mostra.
