A documentary that follows the main events of the labor movement in São Paulo and Greater São Paulo, in 1978: the May strikes, the elections for the board of the Metallurgical Workers` Union (one of the largest in Latin America), the demonstration against inflation in Praça da Sé, and the general strike of workers in November. At the same time, the film examines the country`s union structure.
