The film presents images of Brasília, now in its sixth year, and interviews with residents of the capital from different social groups. One question provides the structure for the documentary: can a city planned in its entirety, built in the name of national development and of the democratizing of society, reproduce the inequalities and the oppression existing in other regions of the country? Professor and film critic Jean-Claude Bernardet was also assistant director, and actor Joel Barcelos directed the production. Maria Bethânia sings "Viramundo", by Gilberto Gil and Capinam.
