Sobre o filme

Cargo 200 is a military term used to describe the cargo of dead bodies being sent home to the former USSR after war in Afghanistan. It’ the year 1984, the end of the Soviet era in an industrial and grey provincial town. After going to a club the daughter of the secretary of the district committee for the Communist Party disappears. There are no witnesses. No suspects have been found. This same evening, in a house on the outskirts of the town, a brutal murder is committed. The formal culprit is the owner of the house. Both investigations are turned over to the psychopathic police captain Zhurov. Rape, sodomy, sadism, corruption and corpses, all immerged in lots of clandestine vodka, are the ingredients in this shocking but indeed allegorical drama - a thriller in fact - about the end of an old and stagnated era. And, the most impressive, all inspired in real facts. The feature won the Critics‚Äô Award at the 2007 Open Russian Film Festival "Kinotavr".
