Clerks II (2006)
Sobre o filme
The Quick Stop convenience store has always been the center of the universe for clerks Dante Hicks and Randal Graves, both age 33. When the store is destroyed in a fire, they have to find a new spot not only to wile away their time, but to provide them with a new job. With no ambition in life, they eventually end up in Mooby`s coffee shop. And there, they can carry on with their heated debates in which, among other things, they try to decide who is best: George Lucas, Peter Jackson, or Jesus. This is the wordy celebration of nerd and pop culture - a continuation to Kevin Smith`s first film, Clerks 2 takes up with the classical characters of the so-called "New Jersey mythology", also known as "View Askewniverse", in reference to the name of Smith´s producers. Recurrent types include the famous Jay, played by Jason Mewes, and Silent Bob, personified by the director himself. The film was made as part of a promise made by Smith to Mewes: should Mewes give up on drugs, he would play Jay one last time.
