Things Behind the Sun (2006)
Sobre o filme
With his father in a state of coma, at death?s door, Itzhak finally decides to pay him a visit and break ten years of silence between both. But at the hospital, Itzhak, a man depressed and emotionally blocked, is frustrated because he feels neglected by his family consisting of wife, a repressed artist, his son of thirty, a junkie philosopher who still lives with his parents, and his middle daughter, a tormented Lesbian who left home a long while before. Itzhak does not understand why his youngest daughter, Didush, age 10, left to her own resources, and barely visible to the family, is secretly visiting her grandfather, whom she had never before met. To decipher the mysteries of the family, Didush will have to face a journey through the alienated souls of his relatives. This is a story of isolated human "islands" trying to reconnect. The film broaches the need for love, separation, and consolation, for the peace and well-being of those closest, to find the path to reach them emotionally.
