Control (2007)
Sobre o filme
The life of Ian Curtis, the depressive singer and leader of Joy Division, one of the most influential bands from the early eighties. The feature adapts the book "Touching from a Distance", written by Ian’s widow, Deborah Curtis, and shares a particular vision of his career as well as his personal life. Control attempts and doesn’t run away from the old motto "sex, drugs and rock’n’roll". But it’s more than a plain rock star’s biography. The scenery is England in the seventies and it portrays the ups and downs of the young singer. It concentrates more on Ian’s suffering and loneliness than on the myth, through a dark and elegant performance. Ian Curtis was one brief and revolutionary insight in the rock universe.
