Detroit (2003)
Sobre o filme
Edzard is driving to Braunschweig to attend his eldest brother’s funeral. Coming from Berlin, he has another 150 miles or so to go, which, under normal circumstances, would not take him more than three hours. Along the road, he meets all kinds of people, and with these chance encounters, he realizes his despair and inner conflicts. The adventure starts when he gives a lift to a traveler who is dropped off again soon afterwards for speaking too much. A little later, a man in the bathroom mumbles a pseudo-philosophical phrase that hammers away in the protagonist’s mind. And it is Mira, a mysterious woman Edzard seems to know from somewhere, who played a role in turning his course into a surreal trip that only ends after three days.
