Sobre o filme

Atwater Brides, an aged author of best sellers, now 73 years of age, is back in the limelight with Dirty Boy, a novel of mystery and suspense marked by murder, madness, and revenge. The writer lives alone in the country, in the region of Atwater Commons when Matty Matthews, age 25, comes on the scene. He is trying to find a path in life and to understand something of his turbulent past and the sudden death of his young mother. The pulp fiction novel by Brides, in shocking detail, describes the sad life of Henry Siggs, a boy whose mother died in childbirth. While he listens to “Dirt Boy” in audiobook, Matty gradually becomes aware of uncanny similarities between fiction and the mysterious murders that begin to occur at Atwater Commons. Day after day, they seem to be more involved with one another: old man Brides, the inhabitants of the small town on the edge of the sea, and Matty, who gradually draws close to solving the enigmas of Atwater Commons and of his own life.
