Sobre o filme

Author Pia and artist Gil live in a small house on the banks of the Rio Negro river, in the depths of the Amazon Forest. She adores astronomy and travel. She plans to combine both these interests in a book she is writing on English astronomer Eddington, who photographed a solar eclipse in one specific African island, thereby supplying proof of Einstein?s theory of relativity. One night, in an endeavor to reproduce the astronomer?s experiment, Pia crosses the river in a boat to reach an island and photograph a lunar eclipse, but she is assassinated, in her own house. Her husband leaves Brazil and spends two years in Austria trying to overcome his sense of loss, until he receives a message from a friend, Elsa, that he must return to the Rio Negro. Gil is about to discover who the assassin of his wife might be.
