Between the Moon and Montevideo (2000)
Sobre o filme
An unusual blend of science fiction and film noir with influence from comics. In a distant future - or possibly not so distant a future - we find Tobi, a scrap metal trader whose life is sheer despair. The prisoner of a forgotten colony, an artificial satellite drifting between the Moon and Earth, he lives in a decrepit world where violence and corruption are part of day-to-day life. His only dream is to escape from this floating prison and seek quiet refuge in Montevideo. The only form of escape is offered him by the Russians. However, they are not boarding him onto their rocket for free. Since Tobi has not a single cent in his pocket, he decides to take part in fierce, deadly boxing matches in an attempt to save the money necessary. At the same time, he is to try a master stroke together with an ace at cards Tony-Lee at the Tintin Club at the cassino belonging to El Señor, the powerful owner of the space colony. Under a shower of meteorites, the tension rises at each new round with Tobi and his friend.
