Darlene and Daiane are two girls who run away from a town in the interior of Brazil and come to Salvador. There, they meet Diomedes, an elderly man who has lost his memory and is lost in the streets without knowing who he is or where he lives. Together, the three of them explore the city. Darlene, the eldest, thinks of getting some money by begging, based on the compassion people feel for the old man. The threesome make up a family of sorts and Diomedes is able to lead the girls to his world, where there is room for affection and solidarity. The journey they undertake in 48 hours will change their lives and open the possibilities for unexpected choice, for all three.
