Omondi is a boy of twelve living in a slum in East Africa. His dream is to be a pilot and fly away from the reality that surrounds him. He wants to go to a place where he will not require charity from distant lands, where white men will not be able to test medication on him, where the leaders who are elected will be less concerned with making money and will show concern for the people. Omondi wants to fly. He wants to go to a place where people will not be afraid of playing with him because he has Aids. Omondi does not want all that much.
