USSR, 1990. A young man, who started using drugs as a boy, lives in the provinces and writes avant-garde theatrical plays. His friends are all drug addicts, criminals and punks. Upon turning 18, he puts himself into a psychiatric hospital to obtain the status of schizophrenic in order to dodge serving in the army. But things don’t go as planned and he is forced to undergo cruel compulsory treatment. Drug treatments, fights with the orderlies, confessions from psychopaths, and hallucinations become his reality.
