Guernica (1978)
Sobre o filme
A short film presented by Kusturica as a graduating project at Famu, the Prague film academy. He was awarded the first prize for the film, at the International Festival for Student Cinema, in Karlovy-Vary (Czech Republic). In the film, a father explains to his son that Jewish people are recognizable by the size and shape of their noses. In a personal endeavor to rebel against discrimination, the boy gets a hold of the family album, cuts off all the noses and restores the pictures using others that he finds, as though it were Picasso’s celebrated painting.
