Wil Pang is a young surgeon with a promising career who is facing a severe problem. She is single and falls in love with Vivian, a ballet dancer. But she keeps her affair a secret, trying, meanwhile, to break the news to her mother, a widow and a traditional Chinese. However, she is shocked when her mother, at home, announces she is pregnant and that she has been ousted from the Chinese community because she refuses to tell the name of the child?s father.
