The Chinese Qi Ming, an almost pensioner teacher in a primary school, travels to Wuhan city with the mission of finding and bringing back home his missing son. See him again before death is the wish of his moribund mother. Qi Ming is taken in as a guest by his daughter Yan Hong, who works in a bar with karaoke. The lady introduces him to his boyfriend and owner of the bar and to an older policeman, with whom Ming suddenly becomes friend, and who helps him in the search for his son. Luxury Car won the Un Certain Regard Award at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival.
