Lights in the Dusk (2006)
Sobre o filme
This is the closing film to a trilogy on pariahs in society begun with Drifting Clouds and continued with The Man Without a Past. The story, this time, is more intimist, adding loneliness to the theme under discussion. The hero is Koistinen, a night watchman, an outcast among other outcasts, not unlike the Charles Chaplin Little Vagabond. Although he is invariably in direct contact with success and good fortune, there is positively nothing of the kind in his own life. Trying desperately to attract some attention, he haunts the immediate vicinity of bars, in the hope that a gorgeous blond will, at least, cast her gaze in his direction. He also becomes involved with a truculent Russian. As from then, criminal activities begin to bubble up in the plot. Koistinen will be obliged to shoulder the consequences of the crimes.
