Mary (2005)
Sobre o filme
A filmmaker that has just made a film on the life of Christ loses any notion of the limits of his megalomania and compels his main actress in his feature to become the character herself, Mary Magdalene. The actress relinquishes her life style of comfort and moves to Israel, to experience her religiosity to the full. At the same time, a skeptical television journalist, used to giving interviews on spiritual themes, begins to query his mode of life, following an unexpected personal tragedy. With increased uncertainty, the need for faith is vital. Abel Ferrara was awarded the Special Prize from the Jury at the 2005 Venice Film Festival for this film.
