Mongolian Ping Pong (2005)
Sobre o filme
Young Bilike and his family live in a rural area in China, with no electrical energy, no running water, and many kilometers from civilization. The landscape around them has barely changed at all since the days of Genghis Kahn. In spite of the isolation, life in the middle of nowhere can be a thrill to a boy such as Bilike. Small details become great events to curious Bilike and his best friends, Erguotou and Dawa. As in the case of a ping-pong ball, for instance, that leads him to ask himself a number of questions about the world around him. As he has never seen a ball of this type before in all of his life, he decides to ask his grandmother what it might be. She tells him it is an incandescent pearl from heaven above. He and his friends begin to doubt this version after waiting all of one night for the ball to shine. They then decide to consult the wise lamas from the monastery.
