Sobre o filme

Santiago is a young man devoted to decorating and restoring ancient objects, living comfortably with the success of the studio he has built with his wife Milli. With his little daughter Josefina, they make up a happy family who deal with day-to-day life without much emotion. In his innermost, however, Santiago proves indifferent to his apparent well-being. A sudden accident on the road unleashes family tragedy and a violent change-about in his life. In the frozen reaches of the Argentine extreme south, unrecognizable, Santiago reappears as an employee at an airport lost at the end of the world. Few flights, few people, a small landing strip and a confused control tower. He shares makeshift lodgings with Robert, his immature mate at work and in adventure. Together with Cacique an aborigine from the north, he works his way through shifts of labor and leisure. The site, work, and extreme climate are a punishment that destroy his spirit and his judgment. Santiago never mentions his former life, but his phantoms never relinquish their hold over him. The days are long and filled with anguish, there is little work but what there is, proves exhausting. This routine becomes an irritating nightmare. The safety and anonymous life his new reality offer begin to come apart. Only one step away from madness, he must fight to regain control over his life and bring his painful past to a close.
