Three women, three different countries, and the same will to live. Stephania lives in popular housing in the outskirts of Turin. In Paris, Elena throws herself into the river Seine and is saved by a beggar. The act of bravery brings the two together, and they live ardent moments that are to mark their lives for ever. During a circus presentation, Stella?s boyfriend introduces himself as a fire-eater. But he is drunk and burns himself. In the emergency unit, David shows some slight signs of life, encouraged by Stella.
