In a prison in Northeast Iraq, Reza, sentenced to 34 years, is a real trouble maker. The director of the prison is concerned and tries to help him by proposing to his mother, Reza, that she authorize his marriage. The chosen one is Fatameh, a woman sentenced to perpetual imprisonment. The first encounter between the two is not very promising: he talks of his father and she of her wish to have a responsible husband. However, they do get married and begin life co-existing only one day a week. Shortly after, Fatameh is pregnant. When her son is born, she is absolved. Seven months later, Reza has served his sentence and the couple have a chance to live together outside prison. Many difficulties, however, await them. The film is a staging
