In 1828, a young man appeared in Nuremberg who could only pronounce the word `horse`. Educated by a teacher, Kaspar gradually discovers the illusions of life. A few years later, he is killed in an attack, leaving his fascinating mystery unanswered. After all, was he an escaped prince, a stolen child, an impostor, or a madman?
