Amélie From Montmartre (2001)
Sobre o filme
Amélie Poulain is not a child like the others. She grew up on the outskirts of Paris in an overprotective family. Her only contact with the outer world is a job at the counter of a small brasserie in the picturesque district of Montmartre. One day, quite unexpectedly, a series of incredible coincidences begin to occur. She is shocked to hear over the radio about the death of Princess Diana. Amélie drops the bottle she was holding. She bends over to pick it up and finds a small box of souvenirs and children’s toys long since forgotten. She goes in search of the former owner and tries to the extent she is able to give it back to him, now a middle-aged man. And this is how Amélie discovers her true vocation: to embody a kind of guardian angel who secretly intervenes and transforms the life of other people for the better.
