The year is 1973, a period of parliamentary elections in Chile. In the streets, interviews with the population reveal a divided country: on one side, the supporters of president Salvador Allende, who had already begun his socialist reform program; on the other, the sympathizers of the opposition, formed by the National Party and the Christian Democratic Party. The victory of the opposition, considered certain, is not confirmed, intensifying the campaign to make the government unfeasible, including boycotts in parliament, strikes, and protests in the streets.
