The Secret Book (2006)
Sobre o filme
Pierre Raymond is an old alchemist living in the south of France, in the land of the Cathars, a Christian sect that rejected the official Church. He has spent his entire life researching one of the most mysterious medieval manuscripts, The Secret Book of the Bogomils, with one single copy kept in the Inquisition archives in Carcassone. After hundreds of years, the original has never been found. One day, a pigeon alights on his window sill bearing a secret message sent by Pavle Bigorski, from Macedonia. Raymond gets in touch with his son, Guy Chevalier, and asks him to continue the search for the originals. On discovering several stories of people linked to the mysterious character, Bigorski, Chevalier comes to the conclusion that the Secret Book is inscribed in the hearts of every human being. But only those who are in harmony, of open heart and mind, may read the book.
