Jaizkibel (1999)
Sobre o filme
Gorka, a young film director, decides to make a film about people who have attempted suicide. To prepare the plot, he requests the assistance of his girlfriend, psychologist Edurne. With her permission, Gorka interviews some of her patients and annotates the reports and their opinions on the subject in a diary. Nearby, soon after a frustrated attempt at suicide, young Nerea stumbles by chance on Gorka’s diary, becomes interested in the opinions of the owner of the diary and is going to try to meet him. The movie broaches the delicate subject of suicide lightly and in a sober tone, which allows it to be analyzed in a realistic form and without the possible appeal of emotional manicheism. Jaizkibel is the name of a mountain in the north of the country, where the director used to go with his grandfather.
