Chasing Che (2009)
Sobre o filme
The documented account of a four year odyssey in which an Iranian business man confronts a personal financial crisis and decides to switch course. Inspired by a biography of Che Guevara, he translates the book into Farsi, and carrying a regular home movie camera travels to Latin America and Europe to research Che’ life, interviewing Che’ friends and foes. In the process, he finds new insights into his own life. Viewing the myth of Che Guevara with an eye to his own culture, he realizes the peculiarity of such a cross-cultural inspiration. Upon his return to Iran, he witnesses how the same dilemma gives rise to an open controversy among his countrymen.
