The Corporation (2003)
Sobre o filme
Awarded a prize by the popular jury at the Sundance and the FIC-Brasília Festivals 2004, the documentary conducts a type of psychoanalysis on big corporations. From this point, the authors draw some polemical conclusions: that is, that these corporations share a series of characteristics: they only are interested in themselves, they are manipulators and irresponsible, suffer from a lack of empathy and are unable to feel remorse or guilt. “In other words, corporations are psychopaths”, claim the authors. The film counts on the evidence of 40 people, such as Noam Chomsky, the ex-World president of Shell, Mark Moody-Stuart; the Nobel prize-winner for economics, Milton Friedman; and the Oscar-winning documentary maker, Michael Moore.
