The expansion of Europe means the breaking down of its borders and consequently workers moving from one country to the other. Greece has always been a reasonably homogeneous country ethnically and religiously. In the past ten years, however, it has undergone a tremendous change under the impact of immigration. Such a big leap has been met with some resistance. European and non-European workers based in the Greece try to give voice to their feelings about the country.
