Salt (2003)
Sobre o filme
Hildur is a girl of 20 who lives with her sister Svava and her mother in a small fishing village to the east of Iceland. Tired of life in a small town, Svava decides to move to Reykjavik, the capital. Hildur and Aggi, her sister’s boyfriend, a short time later, decide to do the same. Midway, the car breaks down and both are obliged to wait a few days for the car to be fixed. They find things amusing enough at first, but the situation deteriorates when they learn that the repairs are going to take longer and cost more than was foreseen. The relationship between them becomes more difficult, and Hildur realizes that it will never do for them to continue together. She goes back alone to her village and discovers a magic way to escape solitude. Salt won the Caligari Prize at the Berlin Festival.
