The Hills of Disorder (2006)
Sobre o filme
Carapirú is a nomad Indian who sees his family group massacred in a surprise attack by ranchers. He manages to escape and, for 10 years, wanders through the hills of central Brazil. He is captured in November 1988, two thousand kilometers away from his starting point and taken by a sertanista, an explorer, Sydney Possuelo, to Brasília. His story is in every newspaper arousing much controversy among historians and anthropologists as to his origin and identity. He is identified as a Guajá by an Indian interpreter, orphaned at the age of 18, and who had been rescued ten years earlier by the same sertanista from ill treatment by the hands of a rancher. However, there is another surprise in wait: both Indians recognize each other as father and son, survivors of the massacre of ten years before when both were believed to be dead. The cast consists of the persons who lived the facts.
