His Brother (2002)
Sobre o filme
Thomas and Luc are brothers, but they have never been very close. Thomas decides to go in search of his brother when he learns he is seriously ill. They get together in the house where they grew up, in Brittany, close to the sea, and spend their time going back over their childhood, practically all they have in common. The approximation is not enough to break through the old barriers that separate them. The laborious struggle against Thomas’ disease gradually gives way to lying in wait of death. His suffering exacerbates family tension. A film on the degradation of the body, an option for agony, a lack of will to live, adapted from the novel of the same name by Philippe Besson.
