Under the Sign of Scorpio (1969)
Sobre o filme
In a prehistoric age, undefined in time, a group of men set sail from their native land, destroyed by a volcanic eruption. They get to an island, but there, the people are also under threat from a volcano that is even more powerful. The newcomers, rather than accepting the offer of a new boat to continue on their journey, try and convince the inhabitants of the island of the absurdity of living in a place that is as dangerous. The islanders are divided: the younger want to leave, and the older ones, remain. The film marked the permanent breakaway from neo-realism on the part of the Taviani brothers and was never released commercially in Brazil.
