Mrs. Henderson Presents (2005)
Sobre o filme
Laura Henderson was one of the most important and eccentric personalities in London society in the period just before World War II. At the age of 70, she became a widow and, with nothing to do, she decided to buy an abandoned movie theater. Determined to recover musical theater for a public fascinated by malicious shows, she made use of an instance in law that allowed nudity on stage provided the nude models "did not move a muscle". In association with theater entrepreneur Vivian Van Damm, with whom she was always at odds, Mrs Henderson attained enormous success with shows with "theater reviews with nudes". The success ensured her a place in the history of the Windmill Theater, a show theater she founded to recover the prestige of musicals.
