Thomas Pynchon - A Journey Into the Mind of P. (2001)
Sobre o filme
Documentary on cult author Thomas Pynchon, who for 30 years avoided public appearances, gave no interviews and did not allow himself to be photographed. The recluse American writer, author of only five novels and some short stories, is regarded by critics as one of the creative geniuses of the twentieth century. Born in 1937, he has been described as “the greatest American writer since Herman Melville”. His style is unique, captivating, and complex, and, at the same time, an intricate riddle and map for self-knowledge. The film makes it clear that the writings of Thomas Pynchon were devised not to conceal and confuse, but to reveal.
