The first documentary of the Trekkies series focused in detail on the universe of several fans of the series Star Trek, first broadcast 30 years ago and, today, still shown in over one hundred countries. The film follows the day-to-day life of people who dress like the characters in the series and that are familiar with every detail of the Enterprise spaceship. In this continuation, the focus is on the altruistic nature of the trekky communities whose dream it is to find a place where all are accepted for what they are. One example of this is in a fan club who adopted a child with cancer. Trekkies 2 is also of a more universal nature, in that the director travels through eight countries, including Brazil, in search of Star Trek fans.
