The Great Match (2006)
Sobre o filme
A comedy consisting of three parallel stories about three different groups of people with two features in common: they live in the furthermost reaches of the globe and are nevertheless determined to watch the 2002 World Cup finals between Brazil and Germany. The main characters are a family of Mongolian nomads, a caravan of Tuareg camel drivers in the Sahara, and a group of native Indians in the Amazon region. Each group is hundreds of miles away from the closest city where they would be able to see television. They are, however, endowed with the wisdom and will power each to attain their objective. In a world in which instant access to information is taken for granted, there is nothing extraordinary about watching world events in real time. But how must it be for anyone living in the remotest parts of the globe?
