Come and Go (2002)
Sobre o filme
Completed a short time before the director died, Come and Go shows the daily life of João Vuvu, a widower who lives alone, his only relative being a son in jail for multiple crimes. His routine is basically to ride to and fro on a number 100 bus in Lisbon. On the way, he keeps himself isolated from any social contact with only a few sporadic incidents to alter the course of events. When the son is out of prison and shows a will to regenerate, Vuvu’s life undergoes a complete change. Built on clear-cut plane sequences, Come and Go is the last of one of the most unsettling instances of contemporary cinema.
