An episode from the feature Erotic Stories, based on the short story by the same name by Pedro Maia Soares that, at the time, produced a great uproar because it presented actor Cláudio Cavalcanti working his way into a watermelon. Joaquim Pedro de Andrade explains: "A chronicle about a refined moral defect, a lyrical encounter in the escapist footpaths of Paquetá, image verbalization, and shamefully brazen exposure of erotic fantasies, Vereda Tropical speaks out against a genital vocation in legumes, the intelligence of maidens, a taste for life, and the sum total of Carlos Galhardo`s poetry.
