A comedy on a naïve potential criminal by name John "Rugged" Rudgate. He spends his days forging discount coupons and pawning them off as authentic. One day, Rugged meets an old acquaintance, scatterbrained Jeff Lagrand, who has recently returned home to help his sarcastic sister administer the warehouse inherited from their father. Rugged forces his way into the Lagrand family business and things begin to go terribly wrong. The situation is aggravated when an emotionally unstable policeman begins to investigate.
