Kate, a hard-working actress in a small theater company, gets her first main role the day she is 23. When she happily reads her birthday letter written at the age of 13, it would seem that Kate had fulfilled all of her childhood ambitions. However, the letter arouses strange reactions within her and this begins to interfere in her work. First, she hears her own voice at the age of 13; and in time, begins to witness quick appearances of herself as a pre-teen. This unusual "shadow" will not leave her alone. The actress always bends to the will of those around her and the teenager protests in her inner self grow in an incisive way. The 13-year-old child then confronts an adult Kate. In a poetic and surreal manner, the film delves into the tragicomedy of this courageous confrontation.
