Julio arrives in Manila to search for his childhood love, Ligaya, and finds out she was sold and now works as a prostitute. He has to fight to free the girl and to survive in the Philippine capital. Restored in 2013 by the World Cinema Foundation and the Film Development Council of the Philippines at Cineteca di Bologna/L’Immagine Ritrovata laboratory, in association with LVN, Cinema Artists Philippines and Mike de Leon.
