Sobre o filme

Asya was working as a History Research Assistant in Istanbul Universities. She takes his daughter Ipek age of five and comes back to the town that she was born to build a new life. She finds a job in a short time in the University of her Hometown. Asya and her students find an interesting subject when they are researching the old-time Ottoman Court documents. In 1917, the bully called ‘Yengeç Salih’ killed a midwife called Nuriye who was living alone and coming back to her house at late hours in his neighborhood because of blaming her as doing prostitution. He told he murdered her to protect the neighborhood’s dignity. The students offer to remake a new courthouse and judge ‘Yengeç Salih’ again extended in the lesson. This investigation starts to make Asya and her students’ lives harder than ever as they never expected it. They find themselves in a never turn back adventure with imprisonment, fights and dead threats. In the words of the director: “Instillation is a branch of contemporary art. The computer riches who made this crisis needed a new style of art. If you put a uncooked egg on a match box and write ‘I have been hurt because of sadness’, it becomes a sample of contemporary arts. These new rich people loved this art to separate themselves from the crowds, to become elitist. I wanted to make ordinary the dramas of the people. I wanted to make this film easy, simple ease and small. Nothing is shouting with big loud”.
