In a country marked by social inequality and by an increase in the indices of poverty over the last decades, Rio de Janeiro, as with other large Brazilians cities, is witness to a growing number of people homeless, out, living in the streets, and ever more excluded socially. The number of street children in the city of Rio is, approximately, 700 children and teenagers. There are those who say there are over 1000. The documentary goes deep into the lives of some of these kids, teenagers, and, also of some of the adults.
