Independent animator and visual artist based in Melbourne Australia. He has directed numerous short films, such as “Uncle” (1996), “Cousin” (1998) and “Brother” (1999). With “Harvie Krumpet” (2003), he won the Academy Award for best animated short film. His first feature, “Mary & Max” (2009), won the best film award at the Annecy Animation International Film Festival and an honorable mention at the Berlin International Film Festival. “Memoir of a Snail” is his second feature film.
