Born in France in 1964, he is an avant-garde filmmaker whose productions tend to be linked to the LGBTQIA+ universe. He made short films such as “Heroes Never Die” (1990), “La Force des Choses” (1997) and “That Old Dream that Moves” (2001), awarded in Clermont- Ferrand and winner of the Jean Vigo Prize. His feature film directorial debut, “No Rest for the Braves” (2003), was presented in the Directors’ Fortnight at the Cannes Film Festival. He also directed “The King of Scape” (2009, 33rd Mostra), “Stranger by The Lake” (2013), winner of the best director award in the Un Certain Regard section at Cannes Film Festival, “Staying Vertical” (2016) and “Nobody’ Hero” (2022), presented at the Berlin International Film Festival.
